He wasn't found guilty for preaching from the bible as claimed by this serial liar, he was convicted for harassing women lawfully receiving health care. To support the harassment of other women by a man is a very fucked-up stance for a woman to take.

A sad day for Northern Ireland ... The warnings were there of what this flawed legislation means, now we can see it playing out in reality.

It is a very sad day for Northern Ireland to see Pastor Clive Johnston convicted of breaching a so called safe zone. His crime, speaking from John 3:16, the very basis of Christian teaching.

It speaks of God's love for the world, the presence of his son on earth, his giving of him to die on the cross at Calvary to save us from our sins. It's a message of hope, of love, of redemption that should be a shining light in this world.

I pray for Pastor Johnston, a faithful man of God who fulfilled his calling. When the law of the land conflicts with God's word, he chose his Saviour first. I thank the Christian Institute for their support of Pastor Johnston and their stand against these wrongs in these dark days.

A retired pastor has been convicted of breaching abortion safe access zone laws by holding a Christian service outside a hospital.

Finding Clive Johnston guilty, a district judge said he had "tested the law to the point where he broke the law".

The 78-year-old organised the small gathering outside Causeway Hospital in Coleraine on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

It featured gospel preaching through a public address system, singing, the playing of a ukelele and the presence of a large wooden cross.

Johnston, of Melmount Road in Sion Mills, Co Tyrone, had been warned by police in correspondence prior to the event he may be breaking law by holding it in that location.

The event went ahead and when police asked him to leave the area he initially refused to do so but later went of his own accord.
