Moths in a human suit (they/them) @lycomorpha.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Other dyes going on for laking right now: This is hawthorn leaf dye, fresh leaves steeped in just boiled water, 1 X daily heat up then leave to steep & cool overnight, repeat for 3-5 days. Also got dogwood berry dye on the go. 1150
Moths in a human suit (they/them) @lycomorpha.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Sooo the buddleia dye was so yellow it was ridiculous. Decided to lake it tonight, not int morning. Filtered out the flowers, checked the pH (nice and neutral), laked it with 10g alum and 5g soda ash. In person, it's a L O T yellower than it looks here, & the... 1120
