Smol good things in a fkd up world: 1. First stripey blorb (AKA cinnabar moth caterpillar) of the year on our ragwort!

A teeny tiny caterpillar, probably not hatched out of its egg that long ago. It's got bold yellow and black stripes, because it eats ragwort and stores the plants toxins, and uses them to taste bad and toxic to predators. That's right. This caterpillar will feck you up if you're a bird. It's sitting in the middle of a ragwort flower head right now, daring you to have a go if you think you're hard enough.

2. Tiny furious micro moths.

A tiny and furious looking garden grass veneer. It's a wedge-shaped micromoth, with lightly striped wings and an absolutely livid expression on its teeny mush. In fairness, I had just woken it up.

Another teeny tiny grass veneer moth of some variety, with the most furious facial expression you'll ever find in a moth. It has a cream and beige striped body, round pale eyes, and black antennas that are positioned like angry eyebrows.

A tiny and cross-looking knot-horn moth, with a long thin shape and light brown striped wings. It has rounded eyes, thin wirey antennas, and a livid but determined facial expression. It's striding across my arm like it has places to be and people to wreck. I did not argue with it. I know my limits.

3. It's big pink moth season!

A magnificent magical elephant hawkmoth. It's shaped like a fighter jet if fighter jets were pink with olive green stripes, and went around pollinating things instead of waging war like asshats. A+ moth pal.
