Moths in a human suit (they/them) @lycomorpha.bsky.social · 06/12/2025

OK, let me join #ArtAdventCalendar, late, even if I might not catch up entirely! Gonna go for a #SciArt zine illustrations theme. 1. Kentish glory moth. No longer found in Kent, or indeed most other places in the UK. Now scarce and found only in Scotland, if I recall correctly.

Watercolour and pencil llustration of a big fluffy Kentish glory moth, or Endromis versicolora if you want the Latin. It's perched on bark, with its large white and red-brown speckled wings folded. It has a very fluffy body and black antennas and she looks majestic.

All these illustrations are from my 'Moths in a Human Suit' zines btw, which you can get here: www.etsy.com/shop/lycomor... They open out with species info on the inside 🦋 🐛

Promotional image for a zine called Moths in a Human Suit'. It shows issue 6, with the cover that has the title of the zine written in lichen coated text, and an open zine showing the Kentish glory moth illustration from the previous post.
