Alt text also shows up in searches! It makes it easy to be discovered!
Evergreen reminder that if you're not using ALT text on your images (yes, your promo images for your writing count), you are excluding a whole swath of people who might otherwise get to know you (and your work) better.
Inclusion is always the better option.
