Here's my issue with all of this. Jesse Jackson once said Mary and Joseph were the first homeless people. They were in Bethlehem to pay their taxes. It was Joseph's birth place. They simply failed to plan ahead.
As it was the place of Joseph's birth they were not refugees or illegals.
Poor planners.
