Planning my day; this is my monthly trip to Dormont in late afternoon & evening. How do I get there? Scooter, bus, combination? I've biked the entire way there a couple times. The weather will be cooperative, but I also need to carry some delicate items that don't travel well. Hmm... 1/

I've also walked from downtown to Dormont a couple times, and the idea is not without merit. This is an area whose sidewalks have not been surveyed much. If I got an early enough start, I could survey a lot of the path from the Smithfield Street Bridge to the Dormont line. 2/

But I also have a lot of reading to do, so would prefer not to pilot any vehicle for any amount of time. Simply walking to the bus and sitting on transit and/or waiting for transit is itself a positive draw. Picking up dinner along the way, while still reading, feeds into the equation. 3/
