A near-empty London Underground carriage, shot down the length of the car. A man sits alone on the left-hand seats, one leg stretched across the aisle onto the opposite bench, a book resting open on his lap, looking directly at the camera. He's wearing a dark polo shirt, jeans, and hiking-style boots, with a jacket bunched up beside him and an orange bag on the floor.

The carriage has the classic red-and-blue moquette seat fabric and red grab poles. The curved ceiling holds rows of rectangular lights and small round vents, with advertisement panels running along the top edges of both walls. Large oval windows line the sides, reflecting the interior. A "NO SMOKING" roundel sign is visible on the glass partition near the front. The perspective draws the eye straight down the empty aisle toward the connecting door at the far end of the car.
