Okay after digesting a bit: - RTD’s 2nd Era is spinning into absurdity but I’m along for the ride now - If Billie is 16 I’m all in, but if it’s just some fake-out thing then I’m going to be really irritated - Ultimately I just want to believe there’s some actual narrative structure #DoctorWho

I think Billie works as 16 as long as they really hammer home that she’s the Doctor, not Rose/Bad Wolf/The Moment (in the same way that 12 wasn’t Caecilius). She needs her own styling, wardrobe, mannerisms, speech patterns (no East London accent!) to set her apart

Yeah I agree with this, just make it the Capaldi logic of “why this face?” and let Billie get a proper run at the role. Because ultimately, regardless of whatever logic RTD applies to say she’s *not* the Doctor, she is always going to be the person Ncuti regenerated into. She’s on the timeline now.
