Hello, #RevPit writers! It’s time for my #MeetTheEditor thread 💖 This is my second year as an editor with RevPit, and I’m so glad to be back. I'm eagerly awaiting your submissions. Got questions about my MSWL or editing process before you submit? Now’s the time to ask! @reviseresub.bsky.social

Hello! I'm just curious, not trying to come off poorly, about the how and why the 110k limit, if its due to industry trends or a way to ensure a manuscript is already lean by the time you get to it?

Hey Hannah! Loved reading your bio on your editing style- thanks for the specifics! In editing, do you prefer looking at scene strength first, or protagonist arc of change first? This is more a question for my curiousity 😄

Hey Hannah! 👋 How do you feel about gothic horror slow burns? I'm a little nervous—both in Rev Pit and querying in general—that gothic horror tends not to have the same kick-down-the-door openings that other genres do.

For a fantasy set in a Latinx-influenced world that uses bilingual elements, how do you balance preserving cultural voice with ensuring accessibility for a broad readership?

For adult fantasy with mythic elements, what makes it feel accessible to readers who don’t usually read epic fantasy?

Hi👋 I'm super late to this, my work schedule made making these hard. I have a queer detective fiction crossed with a light romance that I'll be querying. I wasn't sure if that was something that would be up your alley?

Sorry I'm late to the party! If you're still up for questions: Would you be interested in an MG sci-fi mystery where a 12-yo girl on a starship is blamed when a sacred object goes missing from the fire temple -- Greenglass House X Dragon Pearl?

Hi! Re: epic historical fantasies, how do you feel about editing the first book of a series without having the rest in hand, & does that affect word count considerations on your end if there's a chance some of the content may need to shift? Thanks!

Hi, I have a YA sci-fi. Could your interpretation of fantasy include near-future, post-human, environmental, cognitively diverse dystopia? Just checking. Thanks J

Hi Hanna! I have a horror with sci-fi, romance and post-apocalyptic elements where the MC is the horror monster themselves, sitting at a comfortable 81K words at the moment. Would this be of interest to you?
