While in high school on a Summer trip, there were French-Canadian nuns staying at the same hotel. There was continental breakfast. There was a conveyor belt style toaster, and one of the nuns couldn't deduce it's function. I couldn't remember toast or toaster. I managed "it makes the bread hot."
