some more photos from the prairie today. extremely relaxing to watch it slip by

a small greenhouse/hut thing stands alone on a snowcapped landscape of rolling hills that have crops poking through the snow. there is a very squiggly road following the contour lines of the hills off into the distance

tire tracks left in the snow disappearing off behind rolling hills

a dense flock of birds soars above the prairie in early morning low sun, giving everything a golden hue

a snow covered road disappearing into the fog, it's impossible to clearly tell where the horizon is and where the earth ends and the sky begins

and more

a train crew member from a stopped CN freight train in the background trudging through a snow covered railway yard, getting a good look at our passing passenger train

grain hopper wagons sitting on a rail siding while a gigantic potash mine and processing plant loom in the distance, spewing water vapour clouds into the air

3 small grain silos sitting in a snowcapped field with shoots of crops breaking through

a small barn barely bigger than a speck amongst the vast, mostly featureless white landscape of the prairies in winter
