Caræsten 🇵🇸 @cara.city · 28/07/2026we are absolutely missing a critical culture right now, it's been subsumed by fandom, and reading a knowledgeable, high brow critique of a film like Emily Wilson wrote is just so *refreshing* 5977
Salt M. Bank 🍉 @saltmbank.bsky.social · 28/07/2026People getting mad at her deliberate, intelligent response to the film is so funny to me. She’s not some random critic, she is the eminent translator lol 190
Caræsten 🇵🇸 @cara.city · 28/07/2026I don't care that it's a little mean at points. Christopher Nolan is wiping away his tears with hundred dollar bills at this point, it's the biggest movie in the world, who gives a shit. 2472
Dr. Nic Junius @quakefultales.bsky.social · 28/07/2026I am amazed by how many people don't understand A) what critique is B) that it is inherently subjective and C) that a well written critique can be as fun to read as the thing it's critiquing 050
it's she ghoulcab @coolcab.bsky.social · 28/07/2026the absolute most fandom thing about it is we have apparently lost our ability to think a review is good while still disagreeing with it, and then one step further, think a review is bad without attacking the reviewer. these abilities have atrophied in a frankly terrifying way 1616
