2/8 Trump walking away would NOT mean normality returns. War can end before trade becomes viable again. Merchant shipping relies on: insurance, crew safety, voyage economics, legal risk and charterer confidence. If those stay broken, the route stays commercially broken even without active bombing.

4/7 That is a huge shift for world trade. Hormuz normally carries around a quarter of global seaborne oil trade and about a fifth of oil trade. There are bypass pipelines, but nowhere near enough to replace the strait in full. #Energy #LNG #Tankers
