jasper (pectober era) @jasperthecrab.bsky.social · 13/11/2024a gentle reminder that you don't need to wait to be good enough to write or draw the things you wanna draw you get better through creating the things you wanna make, not by waiting to become better to make things 4229361162
BriteHope @britehope.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Some of the best advice I ever got about writing is that you need to work through all of the trash before you reach the gold. Also, whatever you think of the last thing you made? The next one will be better. Just keep on going. 000
CJ the Boi 🍩😈 @cjthecomposer.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Exactly what I did with music. My first track was an absolute nightmare, but overtime I've refined my skills and toolset, and am still doing so. 000
Bell @ringbellz.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Very true! I just used to write for fun and learned to improve over time all while enjoying myself. 120
popgoesme700.bsky.social @popgoesme700.bsky.social · 14/11/2024REALLY GOOD ADVICE... I wanted to learn how to produce music, so i started in 2019, and now my music is atleast listenable. I didn't spend a lot of time, just occasionally making a piece here and there, and that is how new skills start! Start small, just simple, you can go further from there. 000
HaunterGaunt @hauntergaunt.bsky.social · 14/11/2024I needed to read this. I need to read this. Daily. 020
Alice In Blunderland @alice-blunderland.bsky.social · 14/11/2024I agree. Allow yourself to be a beginner. Allow yourself to suck at a skill. Then look at how to’s and give yourself the time and patience to grow. You will master your art/skill with patience and love ❤️ 010

Marie R.Draco @mrdraco17.bsky.social · 14/11/2024It took me years to accept that things will not be perfect and that only practice will help(also learned enough about myself to understand what work with me, tutorial hurt my brain and I tend to do better by winging it^^), also the ai mess kinda activate some spite in me XD Still hard but I enjoy it 000
Mike Olson @mikeo-yosemite.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Its a trap too. You will continuously always want to improve on one more little thing. Then there is something else, and again something else. Like chasing your own tail. 010
The Smoking Imp of Sleep @handle.invalid · 13/11/2024Thank you. Let’s also not forget how tough it is for artists who have stepped away from their art for a while and are now trying to get back into it. 020
CAMBIONSKULLZ @cambionskullz.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Honestly, as simple as this is, I never even really thought about it in this way. Genuinely helped (I've been putting off drawing and writing for months because of self-doubt n stuff) 010
Rosy Maple Mothra ❤️🔥 @rosymaplemothra.bsky.social · 13/11/2024I decided with blue sky I would do exactly this. I'll even post my silly post its or doodles. Its hard to have the confidence to put it up, but I rather do that than nothing at all. 000
Cristian @elcrisdo.bsky.social · 13/11/2024I once tried to draw a horse and it ended looking like a car (but I appreciate your attitude) 010
Jared the Vanimal 🦎 @vanimal613.bsky.social · 13/11/2024My problem is that I am extremely lazy. :P 270

Usman Tariq, MPH @usmantariq.bsky.social · 13/11/2024It's all about the reps. If you never tried you will never find it what it will be. 010
violet + a @irridescent-hues.bsky.social · 14/11/2024what discourges me is that i'm never consistent enough and i've been trying and perenially failing to draw something decent :/ 000
Rektake @rektake.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Being very self critical and destructive of my art even though i know if I just keep doing it i'll get better :) 010

misplaced-dopamine.bsky.social @misplaced-dopamine.bsky.social · 13/11/2024If you ever think you're not good enough, just remember at least a few people thought the new Star Wars was good enough to green light. 020
Ratteni @ratteni.bsky.social · 13/11/2024This ^^^^^ Plus, if you improve, you can re-write or re-draw it later anyway! And even better, you will have a reference of what you were going for :D 070
R0cky does art @r0ckydoesart.bsky.social · 14/11/2024God, there're like... 4 different stories that are only real inside my head at the moment... 010
Branacos @branacos.bsky.social · 13/11/2024You also have to understand who is defining what is good or bad and why. Be your unique authentic self. 010

nitronik.exe🌸🐾 @nitronik-exe.bsky.social · 18/11/2024I'm currently writing the backstory for my OC, and it's... rough. Not unexpected, as it is my first time writing. But I will hire an editor to help me polish it 000
