1) While the Netherlands leads in biomedical ME/CFS research, psychosomatics still dominates healthcare. In a new report 2/3rds of 249 PAIS children and their parents said they felt pressured or forced, for example to follow rehabilitative treatments or go back to school.

2) Pressure or coercion ('Drang en Dwang' in Dutch) often arose in situations where children did not recover as expected and professionals believe the child would improve by exercising more and thinking differently about the illness.

Everyone diagnosed with 'ME/CFS', child or adult, has something else, so the treatment can't be the same for all.

The Netherlands doesn't lead in biomedical ME/CFS research. Not that it matters, because a disease 'ME/CFS' doesn't exist.
