What if these bombs can be deactivated, in somewhat similar fashion to the F-16 and F-35 fighter jets? Obviously a different technical problem, but presumably they are armed/detonated by remote mechanism. Flip side is that they could remotely be activated by a nefarious actor…

Such madness. $3.6B in just 1 year for U.S. bombs. Yet only $2.3B over 3 years for clean water for First Nations. Only $1B over 5 years for a school food program as kids go hungry.
