I'm a big fan of "Floria Fried Chicken" in Ladybarn, south Manchester which appears to itself be a knock off of the correctly spelled Florida Fried Chicken which has three branches across Greater Manchester.

Interestingly none outside England, nor any I could find in major cities like Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle or Sheffield. (Outside the UK, there were two Texas Fried Chickens in Dublin)

Why is fried chicken (or this type of naming convention) so popular in Manchester?

There were a couple more in Oldham until the pandemic too. Also a Toronto and Havana here, to spread the vibe a bit wider geographically.
