I don't think it's an accident that, as a Claremont/Lobdell/X-Men TAS kid myself, I find that @gailsimone.bsky.social's philosophy on why the X-Men matter is one I share. The strongest communities are formed by fighting for a collective future free from fear. (From Uncanny X-Men #5, 2024k)

My youngest and I are both reading Uncanny X-Men right now. It pulls me in by showing that the X-Men I grew up with have learned the lessons they taught me at my daughter's age. They pull my daughter in as the lessons are being taught to kids she'll soon be as old as herself.
