Calm down by the canal this evening. Grand Union Canal, Glen Parva, Leicester. The canal appears full, with the lock gates replaced in 2019 letting only a small stream sneak through.

The surface of the water is like glass, reflecting the green and yellow leaved trees almost perfectly.

I walked the section south-east of Leicester at the weekend. Some of the pounds were virtually empty.
