Evaluating textbooks in adult education is a felt need because adult learners' require andragogical approach differs from traditional pedagogy of formal schooling. Moreover textbooks are central to learning if it is prepared in a flexible context. The study addresses the need to decrease the mismatch of materials to adult contexts that can impair learning, equity, and programme effectiveness. The purpose of this evaluation study is to evaluate functional adult literacy textbook. Specifically, it tries to examine the layout and design of FAL textbook.
