beihai.bsky.social @beihai.bsky.social · 28/02/2025i was a little kid when that movie came out and i loved it, I still remember all of it, in our backyard pool I used to pretend I was in the Poseidon in the part where they had to swim to get to other part. now while it didn't want to make me be a director or actor it still gave me great joy at time 000

summerbookends.bsky.social @summerbookends.bsky.social · 28/02/2025I went to a Q&A with Wes Anderson when "The Royal Tannenbaums" came out. A fan asked if he had any advice for beginning filmmakers. "One: Don't work with Gene Hackman." 😂 Hackman reportedly crapped all over Hoosiers before, during and after production, too, and was shocked it was any good. 110
Yuser Gname @yusergname.bsky.social · 28/02/2025Gotta say, Ben Stiller's directing in Severance is brilliant. He's got a great eye for framing and focus that has really impressed me. 130
Brooke Tunstall @yesthatbrooke.bsky.social · 28/02/2025I love that he admits when it's not about the art. 000
robynneongirl.bsky.social @robynneongirl.bsky.social · 28/02/2025That Hackman appears to have died an unnatural death is so heartbreaking. If he'd just peacefully lived out natural span of his life as he deserved, this wouldn't be so hard to take. 😢 000
Jewish Space Laser Technician @bigtparker.bsky.social · 28/02/2025I recall the "disaster genre" having a short heyday during that time frame. Everyone got caught up in them for a bit. But "Poseidon Adventure" being the reason why you wanted to work in film? Are we just supposed to ignore the up skirt shot of an aged Shelley Winters swimming underwater? 030
heatherjblue.bsky.social @heatherjblue.bsky.social · 28/02/2025Hilarious story, and the best part is you can just see Stiller’s face when he gets that response from Hackman! 😂 010
A. Nobody @nowhereismyhome.bsky.social · 28/02/2025The stories about Hoosiers are great. He was one of a kind. 000
