I think for me, characters are more important. If the plot is amazing but the characters feel replaceable, I can't enjoy the show 🤔 Good characters can make things entertaining without a plot. Tho a great story does need both to have that something in it imo xD

You can make an amazing character with a really interesting design, abilities, & the like, BUT if you can't make a strong story to build your character into, then it falls flat It's like a house. The plot is the building, & all the support needed for the house & characters are the furniture of it.

I hold them as about equal, myself; there can be good characters in a bad plot, and bad plots with good characters.
