Please write to Stephane.Perrault@elections.ca He is the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Ask him to investigate Twitter’s manipulative and illegal assistance to the CPC Use your words (or steal mine) and it can be just one line. But please ask! The integrity of our democracy is important.

Dear M. Perrault,

I am writing to ask that Elections Canada carefully consider and review the behaviour of Twitter Inc., now called X Corp, during the last Canadian federal election, during the recent federal by-elections, and its threats (made through its chief officers) to influence the upcoming federal election.

X Corp runs a social media site (still popularly called Twitter and now rebranded as X). It has been used to devastating effect during the recent U.S. federal and state elections, including as the locus for a blatantly illegal vote-buying lottery. X has pledged its support to a particular party, the Conservative Party of Canada, and I believe is manipulating its platform to provide illegal assistance to the party and its declared candidates.

Please investigate and protect the integrity of our elections.

Please do not ask the Chief Electoral Officer to “check out” anything not directly related to the conduct of our federal elections or to investigate outside his charge, since he cannot do this, nor can he look into Twitter or its owner’s interference in our politics or activity in Canada generally.
