These days it would cost me up front more to rent month by month, so I'm glad I jumped when I did, but uggghhhh the repairs. I have some that have been sorely needed for years and I just can't. 100

Gwen @dreadfulpenny.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I hear you. My issue was that I never felt stable in rentals. Even when I had a good landlord, I was having to move every couple of years because they were selling, their kids were moving in, etc. It wasn’t great for my anxiety. 000
Bree Lundberg @breelundberg.com · 31/08/2026Our mortgage is less than I used to pay in rent (thanks to buying at a really good time), but it is tough that all the repairs etc now have to be done ourselves. 😅 Everyone fantasizes about an old home with "charm" but it's actually an expensive pain in the ass getting things up to code. 1140
