Had a dream earlier that they added an extra HUD-based gimmick to every Melee character.
Mario got a rear-view mirror. Kirby got a pinball display that gave points for random actions. All the Pokemon got Tamagotchis. Etc.
As you can expect, it was very chaotic. See my artist's rendition below
