I genuinely have no idea what Jeff Jarvis is arguing here. Is he arguing for the right to select the words we use? Because we do not select individual words when using an LLM. Is he concerned about Claude's freedom of expression? Because that might be even weirder. medium.com/whither-news...

Opposing anti-cheat band-aids because they smack of technosolutionism and are based on a (or at least sold via) a simplistic/patronizing description of how synonyms work? I wonder whether, if Anthropic said "we're making Claude's writing worse, on purpose," he'd be more-or-less fine with the tech
