The first Data Protection Law stated that approx: Data can ONLY be used for the purpose that it is provided. This principle seems to have been lost to the benefit of Big Business. Sadly we have corporatists in power and likely to have worse, all serving the greater greed.

imo our healthdata belongs to us. Starmer for all his bragging about "national security" handed our data to the agent of a foreign arguably hostile power. The data is worth tens maybe hundreds of billions to Yankee businesses, and invaluable for their military and other shady purposes.

I love the Baroness but data ownership should be with the data subject and the NHS should be immutable guardian. We really need to be careful that we do not sell citizens data rights down the river when defending their data from corporation.

Data ownership should vest with the individual, not the NHS (who should be allowed to store and process data for the individual), and certainly not any 3rd party without a very high bar of protections fir the individual. Many in the NHS wrongly assume it is NHS data...it is not.
