ATLAS from SUPERPOSE

an illustration styled after night photos taken on a disposable camera picked up at a pharmacy on the way to the beach.
someone is running shirtless through waves crashing onto the sand. everything is lit up only by the harsh flash of the camera and the much more distant streetlights. the water, though, is following them, like it misses them, like a second body. it arcs over their head but instead of crashing there, it's held suspended like billowing fabric.

ok technically while they Are in SUPERPOSE, they haven't appeared quite like this yet........ same character from these btw :^)

an illustration styled after a disposable film camera. they're in the abandoned tunnels to find an entrance to the cave, giddy and shielding their face from the camera flash. not in typical black shirt and jean pants, they're in a faded shirt from a tourist shop and cutoff shorts. they must be comfortable with whoever else is here. the sign says Danger: do not enter beyond barrier. the metal wire fence is cut.

a digital illustration mimicking pencil. with their usual cigarette tucked firmly between their lips, they're in their dockworker's jumpsuit, looking down(?) into the water swirling beneath and around them, and we're looking back. it's as if they're walking across the waves.

an illustration in the style of a movie poster portraying a derelict swimming pool at night from a stretched, overhead perspective. we're closest to two older men entering the pool warily; one is making an apprehensive call on his cellphone while both stare down into the deep end. thin rivers of water flow past their feet down down into the deepest part, where a brilliant teal light emanates, although there are no lights here. their arms outstretched, someone is manipulating the water, rising up around them. their shadow cast on the tile wall is distorted as though they themselves were underwater. above them are the low hanging branches of the surrounding trees, obscuring the view of two other figures leaning against the chain-link fence (one of them inside the pool area, one of them outside.) ghostly trees and orange lights float in the distance beyond us.

the text on the poster is primarily in japanese (SUPERPOSE, DECOHERE) with english text behind it reading "DECOHERE"

again with the cigarette! they've been smoking since they were 12, after all. they're leaning forward saying "so everyone here wants me to... kill myself? is that it?" and wearing a shirt that says Stepdad Construction (a stand-in for a real company but nevertheless a hand-me-down from said stepdad)
