you couldn't choose where his road would lead ⛈️ ⛓️ some sketches for SUPERPOSE... i love a mood

a cinematic illustration of trans guy Rafael Padilla charging ahead underwater with his eyes squeezed shut, brow knotted, his rapid movement forcing back the air bubbles streaming from his open mouth and nose and from under his eyelashes and filling the composition. he isn't just swimming but likely yelling, angry, anguished.

a cinematic illustration of trans mystery Kas al-Ridha, sitting on the piled rocks of a jetty stretching into the water. it's nighttime and they're illuminated as if we're shining a flashlight on them. behind them is the ocean, the bellies of clouds, and the distant lights of an island off the coast of Port City.

a cinematic illustration of trans guydyke Royal Romanenko, seen from a low angle, dark and contorted in the extreme foreground, while the space peeking behind him is full of coursing electricity, cords of lightning cutting across him from above as he begins to twist his body around to look behind him.

and i know it hurts, but you're just getting older / you'll do it once again and ⛈️ ⛓️ part 2 🖤

a cinematic illustration of two figures leaning against a railing (below whats visible in the shot.) one of them is blurred in the extreme foreground, talking and smoking, long hair caught by the breeze, big hoop earrings peeking thru. it's the early morning, with birds and streaks of clouds in the sky. the other is taller and bent forward on the rail. they seem to be listening intently, longingly.

a cinematic illustration with the same figures as in the first, on the boardwalk railing, but it must be sometime else. it's night, with the glow of offscreen lights from their opposite side of the path. the one in the foreground is now in focus, frowning, halted. the other is blurred, looking away and down, their hair grown some and wearing newer clothes sparkling with sequins. a large wave roars and crashes over the boardwalk just beyond them.
