The Uk Labour Party has been infiltrated by self serving narcissists. A fire wall was not in place and no appropriate tests were undertaken. Consequently UK Labour is no longer a progressive political party, but rather a party of self serving capricious people, currently supporting President Trump.

This Act falls into a set with other 'thin end of the wedge' laws over the years billed as specific for specific protections and nothing for anyone to worry about, which some saw then and all along could be misused and turned into abuses of power. These cycles repeat, so it must be systemic, right?
