I grew up in Apartheid South Africa. My great grandparents were put in concentration camps by the British. It’s fascinating how an oppressed people will oppress another (different group of) people in revenge. Israel needs to stop this oppression. Or the cycle of violence will simply continue.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again: Collective punishment is fascism in its most pure and raw form. Anyone calling for collective punishment is by definition calling for fascism.

Netanyahu pursued policies in Israel that have been divisive & inflammatory. Actively encouraging settlements in the West Bank in particular have been decried by many in the West, inc. 🇺🇸, over many years. Israeli people must unite behind a more conciliatory party & leader. Now is the time.
