Whodunnit

It's not polite to ask how much a Melody weighs, but it is enough to crush an average adult

Kinda hoped @cjrcartoons.bsky.social Charlie would confess at this point

POPPY Madame Mayweather, we are very close to apprehending our culprit, but there is some information I need from you. You are not a suspect.
CHARLIE Sure thing

POPPY Firstly, how are you? Would you like a cappuccino? I can send Inspector Tipp to get one.
TRISH Oh for pity's sake Poippot. She's the only witness we haven't cleared, it stands to reason she's the perp.

TRISH Sorry Charlie, but we need to know where you've been for the past four hours and so far you've told us nothing! Or maybe you want your attorney present?

POPPY Forgive me, Madame. I can send him back to Scotland Yard.
CHARLIE Aaah, it's oki I love it
TRISH Don't diminish me!

@sacha19ash.bsky.social will have to speak slowly and deliberately for Poippot to fully comprehend.

POPPY Monsieur Ash, would you account for your whereabouts during the blackout s'il vous plait?

ASH J'étais dans le salon, me gavent de petits “heure d'œuvre” et de femmes gigantesques et magnifiques.

Poppy and Trish stare in monolingual.

TRISH Poippot, you speak French.
POPPY I am acclimated more to the Belgian dialect.

@not-zer0-ange1.bsky.social will have to explain what Rosita is doing here

EUNICE Poippot, I need your help with a distressed witness.
POPPY Can it wait? I just sat down with my tisane.

EUNICE Somehow a child got mixed up in the confusion and witnessed the murder and she is deeply traumatized.
ROSITA I witnessed the body of the deceased which made me feel distressed. I didn't notice anything unusual about it except for the smell of powder burns as if he had already been shot. “¡Ay dios mío!” I explained when I noticed it…

POPPY Hello child. I am Poippot. What is your name? How did you come here? Where are your parents? Shouldn't you have a coat? Would you like some hot cocoa?

ROSITA You axolotl questions.

Thanks to @drewbiusart.bsky.social for having Leona help with our inquiries.

POPPY Mademoiselle Leona, you were in the courtyard during the blackout, did you see or hear anything suspicious?
LEONA Three loud pops from some direction outside, then some hurried-sounding footsteps faintly from inside the estate

POPPY And you did not pursue?
LEONA An armed assailant? No thank you.

LEONA Isn't that your job, anyway?
POPPY Ah, mais oui, but I am so small, and you are so big.

POPPY You could have easily subdued the criminal with a swift blow to the neck.
LEONA Maybe, but there's no amount of free champagne and hors d'oeuvres that will make me bulletproof.

Big thanks to @nafyotoonz.bsky.social for lending us Wego Squeak to help further the investigation.

WEGO Monsieur Poippot, I have been observing the guests undercover.
POPPY Mademoiselle Squeak!

POPPY What have you uncovered?
WEGO The murderer, whoever it is, was in the courtyard just before the crime.

POPPY How do you know?
WEGO I found the murder weapon stashed in a hedge and was on my way to report it when the lights went out.

POPPY Are you sure it was the murder weapon? I understand Monsieur Featherbottom routinely used a pistol in lawn games.
WEGO The guests were already using that to play skeet bocce.

Thanks to @alboart.bsky.social for allowing Charlie to give us crucial data.

POPPY Mademoiselle Charlie, we have witnesses that place you before dinner and after the blackout…where were you between 8:00 and 9:15?

CHARLIE INDICATES SHE WAS IN THE BATHROOM
POPPY For over an hour?

CHARLIE INDICATES SHE USED A VIBRATOR TO CAUSE A GEYSER

TRISH CCTV confirms this.

Melody is Not Safe for Work 🐮 @miniature-melody.bsky.social · 12/04/2026

Thanks to Mr Gamer on IG for allowing Sylvia to help us with our inquiries.

POPPY Can you tell me, Mademoiselle Sylvia, where you were around 9:15 PM?
SYLVIA Okay. I was simply in the Drawing Room looking at the mantle and portraits. Then the lights went out…I stumbled around and accidentally broke an expensive vase

POPPY I comprehend. The Michael Mann-made Miami Vase n'est pas?
SYLVIA So I hear. But that's not a crime, right? Or is it?
Reckless and negligent fumbling.

POPPY Except we have examined the shards of this pottery and it is a forgery.

POPPY So, Mademoiselle Sylvia, where is the real Miami Vase?

Thank you, @ataraxystar.bsky.social for allowing Goldie to help us with our inquiries.

POPPY A witness heard you and monsieur Grenadine speaking with raised voices in the solarium around 8:00, where you were heard saying, and I'm paraphrasing…

POPPY “I hate you, Mr Grenadine. I hope you're shot with poison bullets off a roof after which you hit your head and drown.”

GOLDIE Well sure…but that's just a figure of speech.

POPPY You're lucky I am familiar with this turn off phrase. In French it is much more melodic and cutting.

Melody is Not Safe for Work 🐮 @miniature-melody.bsky.social · 09/04/2026

Thanks to @stxnspx.bsky.social for their cooperation in this ongoing investigation.

POPPY Mademoiselle, can you explain where you were when the lights went out, at approximately 9:15?
WITNESS I was in the dinning hall the entire night eating and drinking

POPPY You're still drinking.
WITNESS It's a free bar.

TRISH Poippot, can we trust what this, or any witness says? This was a dinner party where alcohol was served. Everybody's testimony is unreliable.
POPPY Mais non. In situations like this, it is the lubricated mind that struggles to formulate the alibi.

TRISH And the unlubricated mind?
POPPY The murderer.
WITNESS Aw, I got eel sauce on my dress!
