Louisiana is frequently and fairly the country's weathervane, see women's rights. I'll chalk up the @nytimes.com and @washingtonpost.com failure to cover the resounding rejection of Gov. Jeff Landry's four constitutional amendments yesterday to them not being accustomed to Saturday elections.

I voted against ALL of these amendments! This is the first positive sign I have seen, here, in the last 10 years. I am sure they won't give up, though.

Since I lived in Nola, I kept up on it via social media, newsletters and the like. These four proposals seemed pretty Louisiana centric. I can’t extrapolate them to the entire country because Louisiana is so different from the entire country. A bullet point in Politico Playbook, sure.

I sure hope so, based on the recent election. They held it now (off off year and a weird time) so they could cram this nonsense through. And Landry got his ass kicked by the voters. NO ONE was asking for any of this idiocy. I hope he learned his lesson, but I doubt it. He's a rather dim bulb.
