REMINDER: From the end of this month, non-folding e-bikes will no longer be allowed on TfL’s tube and rail services. While most e-bikes are safe, some have posed a serious fire risk. This ban is in place to keep Londoners safe, following a comprehensive review by TfL.

We are yet to hear of a single e-bike fire from main brands. The Bosch/yamaha/shimano/mahle all have Battery Management Systems and are safe. Ban illegal e-bikes by all means. DIY jobs and Chinese imports have nothing to do in our tubes, or on our streets. Banning e-bikes as a whole makes no sense!

If they're so unsafe can we stop them from being piled in front of building entrances, cluttering the sidewalks, and maybe make it illegal for them to be stored in building basements and hallways too then?

The risk of eBike fires are based on the quality of the battery. Not the shape of bike. This ban does nothing to get low quality batteries off the streets while simultaneously hurting riders who have done the right thing.

Blanket ban on all 4x4 entering the city. Why would anyone actually require a 4x4 in London is beyond me.

I wish you could ban those extra loud motor bike exhaust pipes. The noise they make is unbearable.
