I would say Toronto definitely gave me much more of a New York feeling. But also of the smaller but still big US cities, like Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
@mderbecker.bsky.socialMontreal, for all its merits, is nit the Canadian New York (it just has a good scene and hood food). Nor is Toronto, which lacks the same level of scene and food.
