Crazy how for the longest time people (including myself) based their JP styled artwork off of poor scans like the pic on the left, when in reality SEGA wasn't talking out their ass making Classic a light blue

light blue just kinda works for classic sonic in general. i mean, it's a younger sonic, so it makes sense for the fur to be a bit lighter. "santiago this, santiago that" HE WAS ALWAYS LIGHT BLUE‼️‼️‼️

It isn't very consistent so I don't think it's necessarily incorrect to have classic Sonic as that deeper blue. In the Sonic 1 manual art you definitely have a shade closer to the cyan, but in the digital art they made for Sonic Jam it's definitely a lot deeper. There are many Sonics in the world...
