Sad to hear this. Tony was from Co Durham, and was once a guest on my old BBC Tees radio show - I'd played the theme from 'Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads' so many times that it seemed rude not to ask! He was a total gent with so many great stories. Lovely bloke.

@andrewhickey.500songs.comSad to hear of the death of Tony Rivers -- NEMS artist, Beach Boys soundalike, Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads theme singer, Cliff Richard backing vocalist, friend of Keith Moon and the one who wasn't Elton John on all those budget Top Of The Pops soundalike records.
