Friendica/hubzilla has an interesting solution to that. It has feed ingestion from other platforms into a consolidated feed. So you set it up to automatically post your Bluesky, Google+, and Mastodon stuff. That way nobody has to pay attention to which platforms you're using.

Mastodon's whole proposition was "All the ideological competing Twitter clones should use the same protocol," and that worked as well as internet standards usually do.

the actual solution to this problem is omni and we’ve had the idea for a decade but everyone in tech is too much of a coward to be *boldly* shitty so now we have the spaceX/claude simulated csam machine that makes its own smog.
