According to Alan,‪ @alan678.bsky.social ‬today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Pairs 1. Cedar Waxwings 2. Common Wood Pigeons 3. Double-crested Cormorants Spring 2026 #cedarwaxwing #waxwing #pigeons #cormorant #birdphotography #wildlifephotography #SonyAlpha

Two Cedar Waxwings on bare tree branches against a blue sky. One bird is captured mid-landing with wings fully spread, showing the distinctive yellow tail band. The second bird perches calmly nearby, its sleek brown and yellow plumage and black eye mask clearly visible.

Two Common Wood Pigeons perched on the slender branches of a tree just beginning to bud in early spring, set against a vivid blue sky. One bird faces left, the other faces right, its red eye visible.

Two Double-crested Cormorants perched on the weathered, twisted top of a large dead tree against a cloudless blue sky. One bird stands erect on an extended branch to the right, while the other sits lower amid the broken trunk.

I think those pigeons are Band-tailed Pigeons actually ! The black point of the beak is not seen in wood pigeons normally, and wood pigeons have pink feet. Super cool find, they're pretty !

Picture of a Band-tailed Pigeon. Grey, with dark flight feathers, a short tail, reddish grey belly, white half-collar in the back of the neck with diamond-patterned green highlights, yellow feet, red eyes and a thin yellow beak with a black point.
