This 90% White, 80% male panel seems to say that all speculative research is either 1) amusing silly fanfic or 2) improperly 'politicised' projects 'distorting' the TRUTH.
The line they seem to draw is at reckoning with historical violence that has, in a very literal sense, never been repaired.
