so anything OVER the hangman's calculation is fine. a 50 foot drop adds a little suspense and it's fun for the kids too

the answer is easy. if it was a particularly evil giraffe then way taller than it needs to be. the standard hangman's calculation allows for a drop and stop. death by interruption of the vertibrae. but in the case of an evil giraffe the head coming off would be seen as a case for great celebration.

Well it would only have to be tall enough for it's feet to not be on the floor as the weight of its body would be enough to kill it. So the height of the talles giraffe plus, say, 50cm for good measure. So like 5.9m?
