Advent of Doug: Day 5 My bookshelf about books and how they came to be (mostly)

A collection of books. About writing, paper, books and libraries. Bookended by some horse bookends made from quartz. Books are not photographed on the shelf in my office/library because it’s a wreck and I just took it to the dining room for better light.

Advent of Doug: Day 6 The Voyager Golden Record. Carl Sagan might make the list again. A ten year old Kickstarter project I still think about all the time. It had a place of honor on my shelves, I think it’s still readily available from legit folks on the web. ozmarecords.com/pages/voyager

Day 7 In addition to my aforementioned love of books, and what 'makes a book', I really like books that aren't just books. So what about a 'box set' made up of comics in half a dozen formats and fold outs, all telling an amorphous story about 'life' Building Stories by Chris Ware

Image stolen from pw.org write up of the book.
