M. Vilenius @mvilenius.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Hearing this album -- and indeed David Bowie -- for the first time coincidented with the first time of properly falling in love during high school. Extra special nostalgia for already a great album :) 010
Ezra Buzzington @buzzington.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Walking in the west village in NYC in 1976, a bag lady started shouting at me "What's up, Ziggy Stardust!?" I smiled and kept walking knowing we are all Ziggy Stardust. 000
marcemrich.bsky.social @marcemrich.bsky.social · 19/11/2024Saw him on the Ziggy tour at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Sold out the civic in LA I believe, (may have even been the Forum) but up north there were probably just around 300 people. Flo and Eddie formerly the Turtles opened the show. (par 1 of 2) 120
samedwardsvfx.bsky.social @samedwardsvfx.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Fans of this album can listen to just about any rock record and tell you if it was recorded before or after. Ziggy was when rock became self aware. 000
Dave Lindhout @davelindhout.bsky.social · 19/11/2024Certainly one of my favorites, but the background noise on the album was pronounced. CD's cured that. 000
Christopher King @christophergjk.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Station to Station is my all time fav, but this is undeniably fantastic 000

Tony Fallon @tonyfallon.art · 20/11/2024What a classic ! Bought this at the age of 11 so sadly I also remember every word to each song. Inevitable if you play it about 200 times over. Well what else can you do whilst saving enough pocket money to buy your next album 🙂 000
Doc Holliday @denverlawyer.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Hey Dave - Any idea where I might take a couple of Thorens turntables to get repaired locally that store parts? Haven't had success calling the usual places. 110
Custie Muskgroves @heyitsmejenni.bsky.social · 19/11/2024TIL about Vince Taylor, the real life pop star who inspired Bowie to write Ziggy Stardust. There was a period of his life where he claimed to be both Jesus and an alien. 001

Gayle Joseph @gaylejoseph.bsky.social · 20/11/2024This is one of my favorite albums of all time. You’re too old to lose it, too young to choose it And the clock waits so patiently on your song You walk past the café, but you don't eat When you've lived too long Oh, no, no, no, you're a rock 'n' roll suicide. 010

Leslie @lesliesmit30351.bsky.social · 20/11/2024The album marked a pivotal moment in Bowie's career, cementing his status as a cultural icon and pushing the boundaries of rock music and the performing arts. The Ziggy Stardust character also influenced fashion, theater and the visual arts, leaving a lasting legacy. 000
Leslie @lesliesmit30351.bsky.social · 20/11/2024The album features some of Bowie's most memorable tracks such as 'Starman', 'Suffragette City' and 'Rock 'n' Roll Suicide'. Each song tells the story of Ziggy's rise and fall, and the music itself is a blend of glam rock, hard rock, and pop with energetic and experimental production. 000
