Day 6 of #ALXbeercember, in which @fishinnards.bsky.social begins to ask questions about all of these photos & I begin lobbying @deptofbeerandwine.bsky.social to carry Zeke’s Coffee beans bc I can’t be expected to write without Tell-Tale Dark roast coffee & the roastery is several miles away!*

The middle aged man with the long blond ponytail and glasses is starting to ask too many questions about why I’m taking these pictures. The wicker monkeys created a distraction, bursting into a rousing chorus of the 12 Days of Christmas. Their sinister simian language remains unintelligible to the middle-aged man with the long blond ponytail so he is vaguely unsettled but as yet unaware that the familiar melody conceals a darker truth about this reality for which he is not yet ready. He stands in front of a Christmas tree holding a beer can and a goblet of winter ale.

This beer is from "Iceland" (actually it's brewed in Connecticut, but it's an Icelandic Brewery). Einstök Winter Ale, brewed with hand cut, whiskey cured spruce tips and smoked Icelandic barley! That sounds weird, but it's very smooth, and drinkable. I will buy more! 9/10

I kinda want to hate them because it was mostly a branding exercise of a company. But they wound up making some decent beers (the Arctic Porter, mostly) so I’m willing to overlook the marketing nonsense.
