I think demographic information should be included when people are quoted. I can usually guess, but I feel like the quote has a different context if you knew that Stan Gray of Paola owns KC Broadband and a liquor store and lives in a $600,000 home.

from the article at https://kansasreflector.com/2026/09/18/u-s-sen-roger-marshall-leaves-paper-trail-in-florida-while-calling-kansas-home/

Janette and Stan Gray, a couple from Paola who own an internet company that serves rural areas of Kansas and Missouri, said Marshall’s time in Florida won’t factor into their vote for him in November.

“Come wintertime, anybody that’s smart and has the money heads south,” said Stan Gray, 61.

Janette Gray, 54, said she would “probably do the same” as Marshall.

Janette and Stan Gray from Paola, Kansas, apparently are part of the majority of adults who cannot read above a 5th grade level. Roger Marshall doesn't live in Florida as a snowbird during the winter months; he lives in Florida year-round.
