There's a line in Diane Duane's Doctor's Orders suggesting that by late in Kirk's five-year mission Starfleet realizes relief of Enterprise command by superior officer never works. But, this series being a prequel, as far as I remember this time is retroactively the trope initiator. #snw #startrek

I'm sure the article (or blogpost) I saw said Sulu was only showing up for the last episode. McCoy too. I'm not saying you're wrong about the studio's agenda under Ellison. In fact, if they did squeeze Sulu dating two women into his one episode, I wouldn't be surprised. #snw #startrek

I saw it phrased after the holodeck episode that you can't be doing change-of-pace episodes without an established pace. But at SDCC this year they kinda said that that *is* #SNW's pace cuz the overall franchise is old enough to support it. #startrek

It's rare I dislike something while I'm watching it but I did the puppet #SNW. Usually I'll like something and only see its flaws later. But I dislike comedies where there's one guy and everything's going wrong for the one guy and it's meant to be funny. I used to call it nightmare comedy. #startrek
