Hey, do any poetry friends know the true source of this poem? It's frequently (mis?)attributed to Nizar Qabbani but it seems potentially unlikely. This FB group attributes it to a JJ Kuya but I cannot find that repeated anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated!

Dear God, please let me reroll my Constitution score. I'm tired of getting sick because a piece of turkey looked at me sideways.

The fact that my favorite disc golf discs are the ones with wizards, dragons, and manticores on the stamps makes me think that maybe I should have just gotten into beyblades.

Maybe a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood rewatch would cure my depression.

Happy October 3 to everyone celebrating

Lady in Mean Girls saying, “it’s October 3rd.

A screen cap of Fullmetal Achemist. Someone’s hand holding an open pockets watch. On the inside of the watch is the crudely done engraving, “don’t forget 3, Oct. 10”

Oh wow, I found an OLD-old publication of a story I wrote back in undergrad, when I and all the boys I knew were obsessed with planning for a zombie apocalypse. 🙄 This story was about that but also how much I hated living in Australia at the time. Mixed feelings about this old piece.

Just a quick reminder that I am still looking for work after being caught in layoffs in early August. My family is preparing to live unhoused starting this weekend, so all leads are appreciated. I have experience in writing, editing, publishing, nonfiction and TTRPGs!

It's End-of-Summer-Start-of-Fall time, which means it's time for me to get re-addicted to Sword and Sorcery stories. Just finished Joanna Russ' "The Adventuress," what a friggin' cool story. Cool protagonist, slapstick combat, heartfelt dialogues, feminist themes... just so good.
