Today marks the close of Women’s History Month, a moment to honor the women shaping a more just Virginia every single day. This year, I’m intentionally lifting up Afro-Latina and Black women leaders who have long sounded the alarm about the dangers of injustice and authoritarianism.

February is #SchoolBoardAppreciation month! For me, ensuring that our diverse school system is reflected in our workforce is imperative. As a leader building teams in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space for 20 years, I understand it’s hard, but I know it can be done. #APSVA #education

The National Education Association (NEA) kicked off American Education Week this morning at @barrettaps.bsky.social, serving school lunch, reading to students, and leading a hands-on cooking activity. In addition, the NEA donated $5,000 to Barrett, and APS received a $10,000 donation.
