Shangri-La Frontier (2023-2025) I watched two seasons and caught up with the manga in one go over two days (unc still got it). It captures the feeling of exploring a new video game, doing exciting challenges and "hanging out with the boys™️" perfectly. Great cast, great visuals, great Gerdub.

The Ramparts of Ice - Season 1 (2026) Well written show with very enjoyable characters. It's well animated and visually funny, too. I really liked how the ending starts running into the last half a minute of the show as the characters are still talking, added to the dramatic atmosphere. :3

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Wii, 2009) A fun, tight game with some minor annoyances. Using the Wii mote for combat and morph ball jumps is great! Less great is how the bosses play and how the scan visor leaves out critical info :P The ammo system is "alright". Overall quite satisfied, had fun.

Persona 4 Golden (PC, 2020) Took me 2+ years to finish this game. The character writing is excellent, fusing is cool, the enemies are too spongy for the combat speed, and tbh, I don't like life sims much. A good game overall, with many memorable moments. And Marie is also quite solid, actually.

Metroid Other M (2011) - Replay As I got into Let's Plays because of this game, my life might be pretty different without it. The game's public perception is slowly shifting positive. My opinion on it mostly stayed the same: It's a competent action game with some very silly voice lines :P

Titanfall 2 (2016) I really loved the gunplay and movement in Apex Legends. Why wouldn't I like this? I did find some enjoyment in the robot combat as well. The story and the set-pieces kept it interesting, but I wouldn't say it was my favorite story in gaming. But the gameplay... is amazing!

Have a Great Trip After the End Credits (Manga - 2024) I wanted to start doing these for manga and this yuri ended up being first. It's short, yet here I think of firing a Rot13 to try and sort out my feelings on this. If anything I feel like I was left with a sobering ending. Good and sad. 1/4

Journal with Witch (2026) A story of a reclusive aunt and her niece, who lost her parents. And a story of grieving as well as being different and still finding your way in life and going out of your comfort zone. There is so much more to say about this, yet it's best to just watch it yourself!

You and I Are Polar Opposites - Season 1 (2026) The school anime that captures the general vibe of being a student of that age the best. Neither overdramatized, nor too unrealistic. It's also hilarious, well directed and heartfelt. The opening animation was my favorite in a while. Go watch it!

The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife (2026) Cute romance between an invisible man and a girl that has been blind from birth. The cast is great and the main romance felt tactful and mature, with ample progress happening. The voice acting was REALLY fun, also. I really recommend this one!

I get this tho. Around 10 years ago, i read an interview of Kenichiro Takaki (producer of Half-Minute Hero, a game I really like, and Senran Kagura, lol) that has similarly been stuck in my mind enough for me to find it on the Wayback Machine recently. (That game more or less happened)

G: Is there any other genre besides shooters that you’d like to explore in the future? Anything that you really want to do, but you haven’t had the chance yet?

KT: I’d like to do a pinball game.

G: Why pinball?

KT: I’d like to have the ball move around on the girls’ bodies.

G: Why did I even need to ask?

KT: (Laughs)

I couldn't figure out what has been bugging me after I had fun on Friday, when I bought glue pads and scissors at the dollar store . Today, I thought about going to a store just to get cookies and now I know: By strolling into a store just to buy an item or two I have become a Recettear NPC.

Girls Band Cry (2024, Rewatch) Forgot to post this. I am still impressed by the 3D animation used in this anime. It's best in class even imo. While I don't like the songs too much, the concert sequences are great and so are the characters. I like how they resolve issues and would enjoy to see more.

Kunon the Sorcerer Can See (2026) A lower quality production. I picked this up, because i read this as a manga and the main characters antics were funny. Ultimately, it just cut off halfway, and the antics overstay their welcome by a bit. But I still enjoyed it and that's what matters.

Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None This season I watched stuff I would usually read as a manga. I have read the manga for this. Solid entry in the "banished from party, but powerful" genre. The way unique powers are done in this is fun. Overall, quite enjoyable.

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague As a SoL show in an office setting, there is little wrong with this. The pacing could be a bit faster. The frosty mMC turns into a boy when he overheats. The cool fMC fawns over him in that form. A mostly innocuous show for a mostly innocuous day :3
